Steelers Vs Ravens Odds & Picks Week 16: Why Is Baltimore Favored?

In a massive AFC North battle with division implications, we've got the Steelers at Ravens for Week 16.

For this Saturday matchup, the Ravens opened as 6.5-point favorites (-105 at FanDuel). Baltimore is a huge favorite despite Pittsburgh winning eight of the last nine meetings between these squads.

Where we've already seen line movement in this matchup is the total. It opened at O/U 46.5 on Sunday night, but has moved down to 45 at some books, already.

Steelers vs Ravens Picks Week 16

Steelers +6.5 (-115)

I couldn't believe when I saw the Steelers opened as 6.5-point underdogs. The Steelers are 10-4, currently own the AFC North division over the Ravens, and have lost by a touchdown just once all season. And, perhaps most importantly, the Steelers already beat the Ravens this year, toppling them 18-16 in Week 10.

In fact, the Steelers have won four-straight games against the Ravens and eight of the last nine meetings. Baltimore hasn't covered a -6.5 spread against Pittsburgh since December 2019. Mike Tomlin owns this matchup.

The Ravens also struggle to run away with these AFC North matchups, generally. They're 2-2 in division games this season, but haven't won by more than three points against the North. John Harbaugh is just 7-10 against the spread in divisional games the last three years. Tomlin's Steelers are 11-5 ATS.

Steelers vs Ravens Player Props

Justice Hill OVER 17.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Derrick Henry is obviously Baltimore's lead back, but Justice Hill is still a huge player in Baltimore's passing game. The Ravens' RB2 has seen at least five passing targets in three of the last four games, going OVER 17.5 rec yards in seven of 14 contests this year. In the last four weeks, he's averaging 28 rec yards per game.

Last time out against the Steelers, Hill was also a huge factor. He had seven targets, caught four passes, and racked up 28 yards in the passing game.

Steelers vs Ravens Betting Trends
