We've only got three games on the NHL schedule tonight Wednesday, December 16, but that hasn't stopped me from giving you a player prop on each of those games.
Here are three player prop picks for all three games on the NHL slate including Dylan Strome to stay hot, McDavid scoring in a Stanley Cup Finals rematch between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers, and for MacKinnon to nab a power play point in Vancouver.
Dylan Strome O0.5 points (-160) vs Stars
Matchup Page: Capitals vs Stars, 8:00 pm ET
Former third-overall pick Dylan Strome continues to play according to his draft status with 37 points in 29 games (1.28 points per game) and now Stromer is on a heater with points in three straight games for the Caps and has done well against the Stars as a member of the Washington Capitals scoring four points in his last three games.
Dallas hasn't been as defensively stout lately with 3.2 goals per game in their last 10 outings, so to get a player who's averaging well over a point per game on the season with -160 odds is a great play.
Connor McDavid Anytime Goal (+140) vs Panthers
Matchup Page: Panthers vs Oilers, 8:30 pm ET
It's a Stanley Cup Finals rematch and Davo is going to have revenge on the brain, and there's no better way to get that revenge than by scoring a goal. McDavid has two goals in his last four games now and has scored twice in his last two games over the Cats in 23-24.
Lately, the Panthers have been porous leaking seven goals in their last two outings and could be without Sasha Barkov who missed his last game due to illness. That's a major shutdown center expected to match up with McDavid out, leaving McJesus even more space to operate and score tonight.
Nathan MacKinnon O0.5 Power Play Points (+130) vs Canucks
Matchup Page: Avalanche vs Canucks, 10:30 pm ET
There's a special teams advantage for the Avalanche today, Colorado has the ninth-best power play at 24% while the Canucks have allowed four power-play goals in their last 12 penalty kills, allowing a goal on 33% of their opponent's opportunities.
Someone like MacKinnon who ranks fourth in power play points since 2022-23 with 96, should feast on that special team's advantage and score one power play point tonight in Vancouver with some juicy +130 odds at BET99.
