The Bruins are 2-0 with interim coach Joe Sacco behind the bench, clearly firing Jim Montgomery gave the team the boost they needed. Sacco has made significant defensive improvements dropping the Bruins' expected goals against falling from 2.82 per 60 to 1.67.
A good defensive Boston has been a pain for the Canucks who've gone 1-6SU in their last seven games at the TD Garden. So with the Bruins getting back to their best form and with the Canucks missing two of their star players in Brock Boeser and JT Miller, the Bruins win.
With Boeser and Miller out, Pettersson has been asked to do more getting an average of 21 minutes, up from the 19 he was getting previously, that extra ice time has been well used with Petey going OVER 0.5 points in six of his last seven games. The former 100-point player is full of confidence going into this game and as the lone star forward left, he'll get as much of the puck as he needs to create out there.
