Still living off the new coach bounce the Boston Bruins welcome the Vancouver Canucks to the TD Garden tonight. I'll take the -120 Bruins on the BET99 moneyline thanks to Joe Sacco's defensive improvements in an admittedly short sample.
Here's a moneyline, total, player prop, and same-game parlay for tonight's matchup between the Canucks and Bruins in Boston.
Make sure to scope out our +700 same-game parlay below that features a moneyline pick, Pastrnak to score, and Jake DeBrusk to perform against his former team.

Canucks vs Bruins Picks
Boston Bruins ML (-120) at BET99
The Bruins have won two straight after sacking Jim Montgomery and naming Joe Sacco as the interim head coach, looking under the hood you can see that Sacco has cleaned up the Bruins' sloppy defense with expected goals in all situations dropping from 2.82 per 60 to 1.67 in the two games under Sacco.
Next on Sacco's "fix list" is the Bruins' offense, and while David Pastrnak will get plenty of attention for his struggles, Charlie McAvoy only has seven points on the year a pace that would see him score a career-low 26 points. If McAvoy is going to start putting up points he's got to get pucks toward the net, thankfully, he's averaging three shots per game under Sacco, at BET99 OVER 1.5 shots for McAvoy is -150 while OVER 0.5 points is +115.
Vancouver enters Bean-Town with the best road record in the league at 7-1-0 but they've struggled in Boston losing their last four games and six of their last seven at TD Garden. The B's have the Canucks number and with that new coach bounce still in full swing, as well as those defensive adjustments working, I expect the Bruins to come away with a win.
UNDER 5.5 Goals (-115) at BET99
The total has gone UNDER in five of the last six meetings between the Bruins and Canucks with an average of 4.7 goals scored. With Sacco's attention to defensive solidity the Bruins have only allowed a single goal over Sacco's two games in charge, that focus won't change tonight as they keep the Cancuks quiet. Offensively the Bruins aren't yet fixed only scoring three goals in their last two games, so I don't expect them to bury enough to run up the total to above five goals.
Canucks vs Bruins Same Game Parlay
I was pretty clear about why I thought the Bruins would win, and my case was compelling enough for our NHL staff to make Boston on the moneyline our first leg in tonight's same-game parlay.
This is DeBrusk's first game back in Boston after he left as a free agent. The Bruins' former first-round pick has come alive with three points in his last outing and has scored a point in seven of the Canucks eight road games, he's an excellent candidate to get a point tonight.
Without a goal in his last four games, Pastrnak is due to score. Vancouver has been leaking goals lately allowing an average of 3.7 in their last seven games thanks to a poor 0.873 save percentage for their goalie tandem. With poor goaltending in Vancouver's net, we believe Pasta gets back among the goals
Canucks vs Bruins Player Prop
Elias Pettersson O0.5 Points (-160) at BET99
As Outlier points out, Elias Pettersson has gone OVER 0.5 points in six of his last seven games (86%) so I'll take the former 100-point player to get at least one point tonight.
With JT Miller and Brock Boeser out Pettersson has been forced to step up into a larger offensive role averaging nearly 21 minutes over his last four games compared to the 19 minutes he was averaging through his first 15 games. That's sparked something in the former 100-point player with six points over those last four games.
Boston may have found new defensive solidity with their new coach, but Petey is playing with the confidence of a 100-point player, he'll find a way onto the scoresheet at least once.
