Phillies vs Braves Same-Game Parlay Today: Take Nola

I'm back with another MLB same-game parlay today.

I'm honing in on the big matchup tonight between the Phillies and Braves. With Aaron Nola and Max Fried taking the mound, I'll side with the Phillies.

Phillies vs Braves Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Phillies ML

I'll get a little more into the offenses below, but the main reason I'm backing the Phillies today is because of the pitching matchup.

For Philly, Aaron Nola takes the mound after 6.2 shutout innings in his last start. He's allowed over three earned runs in just two of his last 10 outings. Max Fried goes for Atlanta. Fried has allowed three or more runs in four of his last five outings, with the Braves losing all but one of those contests.

The matchup history here is also very much in our favor. Nola holds Braves bats to a collective .234 average and .716 OPS while Fried holds current Phillies to a .303 average and .897 OPS. There's a clear difference there.

Phillies vs Braves Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Turner Hit

One of the main reasons I'm backing the Phillies is because many of their main bats crush Max Fried — Trea Turner is chief among them. The infielder has a lifetime .371 average against the Braves lefty, with a 1.107 OPS — that's 13 hits and three homers in 35 at-bats.

Turner also enters this game on quite the heater. He's notched a hit in four of his last five games, with 10 total hits in that run (and four RBI, too). Turner just won NL Player of the Week and has raised his season average to .308.

Phillies vs Braves Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: castellanos Hit

Castellanos is another Phillies slugger with ample success against Fried. He's earned six hits in 12 career at-bats against the southpaw, good for a .500 average and 1.288 OPS. The last time Fried faced the Phillies, Castellanos finished the day with two hits in five at-bats. Turner, who I mentioned above, had two hits as well (both homers).

Castellanos also enters this contest on a eight-game hit streak, raising his average to .250 on the season with 11 knocks in his last eight games.
