MLB Player Props July 3

MLB Player Props Today: Bellinger To Bomb

After a 2-0 day on Tuesday, I'm looking for another pair of MLB player prop winners on Wednesday.

Let's not mess with a good thing, so I'm going right back to the recipe that worked for me on Tuesday: one total base prop and one pitcher prop. Here are my two best MLB player props for Wednesday:

MLB Prop Today: Cody Bellinger Over 1.5 Bases (+135)

Phillies vs Cubs Matchup Preview - Game Time: 8:06 pm ET

There aren't many hitters that have Zack Wheeler's number, but Bellinger is one. The Cubs slugger has five hits off Wheeler in 13 career at-bats, but the craziest stat is ALL five of those have been homers. Bellinger has 10 RBI against Wheeler in 13 ABs, wow.

Wheeler is currently an NL Cy Young favorite, but he's not immune to big bats like Bellinger. He's allowed seven or more hits in two of his last three starts and was tagged by the Orioles for eight runs earlier this month.

Bellinger is also entering this contest in good shape, with hits in nine of his last 10 games and two multi-hit games in that run.

MLB Prop Today: Michael Wacha Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-132)

Rays vs Royals Matchup Preview - Game Time: 8:10 pm ET

Wacha is one of many great pitching success stories for the Royals this year. On top of Brady Singer, Cole Ragans, and Seth Lugo having big years, Wacha has been on fire lately. The Royals righty has allowed two or fewer earned runs in each of his last seven starts, lowing his season ERA to 3.91. He's also gone over 4.5 strikeouts in five of those seven outings.

Wacha should be able to add another great outing on Wednesday, as he's historically carved against the Rays. The Kansas City pitcher has held current Tampa bats to a .188 average and .244 OBP in 69 career at-bats, striking out 18 batters in that time (good for a 26% strikeout rate, which is well above average).

Some Rays bats who really struggle against Wacha include Randy Arozarena (hitting .154 off Wacha) and Amed Rosario (.077). Last time Wacha faced off against the Rays (in May), he struck out seven batters in 6.0 innings of work.
