Zack Wheeler is quietly doing ace things again, and he’s got a strong strikeout spot tonight against the Braves. Wheeler has cleared this number in two straight starts and is averaging 9 Ks per outing this season. Atlanta’s lineup has swing-and-miss baked into it. The Braves have struck out 10+ times in four of their last five games. Wheeler also owns the Braves, holding them to a .566 OPS in 266 career at-bats. With a solid history vs Atlanta and his current form, I’ll back Wheeler to punch out 7+ once again.
Nolan Arenado OVER 0.5 Total Bases (-155 at Sportsbook)
Call it a streak, or call it consistency. Whatever it is, Nolan Arenado’s been hitting. The Cardinals third baseman has gone OVER 0.5 total bases in 15 straight games, which makes this number almost too good to pass up. He’s batting .343 on the year and is seeing the ball well, regardless of the matchup. Arenado also gets Pirates rookie Paul Skenes tonight, and while Skenes has been electric, Arenado is a pro’s pro who can shorten up and slap one the other way. All we need is a single, and this guy has been delivering them nightly.
