Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks

NBA Player Props Today: Lillard Looks To Score In Return To Portland

It's a four-game slate across the NBA on Tuesday night, so on top of the Tyrese Maxey OVER on 3.5 made 3-pointers in Odds Shark's preview of the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers, we'll be grabbing one player prop from each of the other three games on the schedule to spread the love.

Here are the three expert player prop picks in question, including a scoring prop taking the OVER for Damian Lillard (-115) as he returns to Rip City for the second time as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks on January 28, 2025.

Damian Lillard OVER 26.5 Points vs. Trail Blazers (-115)

Preview: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 10 p.m. ET

It will be a treat for Portland Trail Blazers fans as their returning hero in Lillard, who is the franchise's all-time leading scorer after spending the first 11 years of his career there, competes once again at the Moda Center, albeit as a member of the opposition. His initial appearance with the Bucks on Jan. 31 of last year resulted in a 25-point showing on 9-of-23 showing, which would be an UNDER on 26.5 points set by oddsmakers for Tuesday.

Lillard has gone OVER this mark in three-straight games, though, with his 35 points in Monday's win over the Utah Jazz being his highest output since late November. The Trail Blazers rank 23rd in points allowed to opposing point guards, but surprisingly own the best overall defense (104.5 points allowed per 100 possessions) during this recent stretch in which they've won four of their last five outings.

Returning to a place of familiarity should help Lillard's cause, and he's gone OVER 26.5 points three out of five times in which he's taken the hardwood on  no rest.

Dillon Brooks OVER 2.5 Made 3-Pointers vs. Hawks (+116)

Preview: Houston Rockets vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 p.m. ET

We're taking a flyer here at plus money after Dillon Brooks tied a franchise record for the Houston Rockets on Monday in an upset victory over the Boston Celtics with 10 made triples on 15 total attempts, which was also his own personal career best.

The Atlanta Hawks are an ideal opponent for that hot streak to continue, as they sit dead last in the league in opponent's 3-pointers made per game (14.7) and 28th in opponent's efficiency from behind the arc (37.6 percent). Brooks registered five makes from deep on Dec. 20, 2024 versus Atlanta, so there's at least a base there of him having thrived shooting the rock in this particular matchup.

Prior to lighting up the reigning champions, Brooks hadn't drilled three or more 3-pointers in a game since Jan. 7, so the hope here is that what he accomplished less than 24 hours ago can carry over against one of the weaker defensive units defending the perimeter.

Andrew Wiggins OVER 5.5 Rebounds vs. Jazz (+122)

Preview: Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors, 10 p.m. ET

It was during the Golden State Warriors' second game of the 2024-25 campaign when Andrew Wiggins established a new career-high in rebounds when he grabbed 13 in just 23 minutes in a 41-point shellacking of the Utah Jazz. He needs less than half of that with just six to connect on an OVER at plus money, so there's tremendous incentive here.

It helps that Wiggins has grabbed six or more in three-straight games and four of his last five, as well, and even with head coach Steve Kerr consistently going deep into his second unit, the Canadian forward still manages to receive a ton of playing time having exceeded 35 minutes in three of his last five appearances.
