Walter Clayton Jr. Over 2.5 Three-Pointers -120
Walter Clayton Jr. has been compared to Steph Curry by some NBA scouts, and its not hard to see why. The Lake Wales native has a smooth shooting stroke, and used that to lift his team to a comeback victory over Texas Tech in the Elite Eight.
Clayton Jr. has surpassed 2.5 three-pointers in seven of his last eight games, while knocking down four per contest. In that stretch, he's shooting an outstanding 47% from deep, on 8.5 attempts.
Auburn is the best team Clayton has faced this season, but in their February matchup, the Iona transfer knocked down four of eight threes for 19 points. The Tigers may be able to contain him, but there's no reason to believe they shut Walter Clayton Jr. down.
Alex Condon UNDER 18.5 Points + Rebounds -122
Florida big man Alex Condon has had an undeniable impact on the Gators March Madness run. However, he's failed to cross 18.5 points + rebounds in four straight games, and faces a tough matchup against Auburn bigs Johni Broome, Chaney Johnson and Dylan Cardwell.
Condon's averaged just 15 points + rebounds across his last five games, will find the paint guarded by Auburn's plethora of experienced big men. The Aussie is shooting just 45% from the field in that time frame, and isn't a three point threat. On top of that he's averaged only 6.4 total rebounds across his last five, while playing 24 minutes a night.
Look for Auburn to keep Condon off the glass and fade his 18.5 points + rebounds prop as part of our Florida vs Auburn same-game parlay.
Florida vs Auburn uNDER 159.5 Total Points -105
Sure, the Florida Gators love to get out and run. Plus, Florida is second in KenPom's adjusted offensive efficiency rating and Auburn is third. However, both squads also sit in the top-10 in KenPom's defensive rating, and have the length, tenacity, and depth to contain each other's best players.
There were 171 points scored when these teams in February, but I expect this contest to be a slower paced, grind-it-out showcase. Both teams will aim to shut down the opposing offense, which starts with limiting transition baskets. This will lead to longer possessions, and I like the contrarian UNDER 159.5 points.
