Texas are 7.5-point favorites visiting Michigan at The Big House. After tossing up 52 points and allowing none, the Longhorns had a picture-perfect performance in Week 1. Meanwhile, Michigan didn't blow me away in its 30-10 campaign against Fresno State, where the Wolverines defense showed some weak moments.
The new era of Michigan football we got a glimpse of last week just won't cut it against Texas. Give me the Longhorns against the spread.

texas vs michigan Picks -- Week 2
The title of reigning champions will only get you so far and I think Texas is going to expose Michigan's vulnerability.
The Longhorns were robust on both sides of the ball. Quinn Ewers completed 20-of-27 tosses for 260 yards and a trio of touchdowns. Young prodigy Arch Manning even got a sniff on the field, pocketing his first career touchdown. But, after stopping Colorado State from getting on the scoreboard, Texas' defense deserves major credit.
Davis Warren was not good enough under center for Michigan in Week 1, barely eclipsing the 100 passing-yard mark and pairing his single touchdown with an interception.
The Wolverines may be able to sneak some rushing yards against the Longhorns, who allowed 118 yards to the Rams. But, it'll boil down to the quarterback performance and I'll take Ewers' composure over Warren's uncertainty any day of the week.
Texas vs Michigan Week 2 Pick: Texas -7.5 (-108)
*pick made as of Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 11:30 am ET
texas vs michigan Prop Pick: Texas -4.5 First Half (-102)
The Wolverines won't get away with another slow start, like last week where they earned just 10 points by halftime. Meanwhile, after being up by 31 points in the first half, the Longhorns were piping hot out of the gate. Texas averaged 27.3 points in the first half in its final three games of last season.
Neither team can afford more than two losses or a risk of missing the CFP looms. With Texas facing Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida -- this is a must-win to cash in their -260 odds to make the playoffs.
