Giants vs Cowboys Odds & Picks Week 13: Dallas Will Feast

We've got the Thanksgiving Day matchup everybody asked for: Tommy DeVito vs Cooper Rush.

When the Giants and Cowboys meet, it'll be Rush and Dallas who are slight favorites. The Cowboys sit as four-point favs and -205 on the moneyline. Given the gross nature of this QB matchup, the point total is a low O/U 39.0.

I'll break down the complete Giants vs Cowboys Week 13 odds and my picks below:

Giants vs Cowboys Picks Week 13

Cowboys -4 (-114)

I actually appreciate the meme that is Tommy DeVito. But, from a football perspective, he stinks. After a few miracle games to start his NFL career, the Giants are now 0-3 in their last three games with DeVito at QB (-49 point differential in that run). They haven't covered a spread in DeVito's last three starts. Last week, the Giants' offense looked utterly unusable, managing just seven points against a mediocre Tampa Bay D.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, are actually figuring out how to score without their QB1. After two stinkers with Cooper Rush at the helm, Dallas managed 34 points in a shocking upset of the Commanders last week. With Rico Dowdle running the ball well (against a Giants defense that's bottom-five in run stopping), Rush and Dallas' attack should manage enough to out-score DeVito on Thanksgiving.

The Cowboys also relish this Thanksgiving spotlight, rocking a 33-22-1 record on Thanksgiving in franchise history, and winning their last two Thanksgiving games over the Giants and Commanders. The Giants, on the other hand, have lost four-straight Thanksgiving games, including two losses against these Cowboys in that stretch.

Giants vs Cowboys Prop Pick

Rico Dowdle OVER Rushing Yards

The exact line for this prop isn't yet out, but I expect it to be in the high 50s. If it's below 60, I'm certainly taking Dowdle's OVER, as he's gone OVER 53 yards in four of his last six games and is becoming an increasingly large part of Dallas' attack.

When the Cowboys give Rico Dowdle the ball, he performs. His two best starts of the season are the two games Dallas gave him over 12 carries (not even that high of an ask). Last week, he averaged 4.5 yards per carry on 19 attempts (86 yards).

I expect the Cowboys to give Dowdle the ball plenty on Thanksgiving, as the Giants' run defense has been brutal lately. On the season, New York has allowed 1296 rushing yards to RBs in 11 games (117 per contest). Last week, Bucky Irving had 87 yards. The week before, Chubba Hubbard had 153 yards on the ground.

Giants vs Cowboys Betting Trends

  • The OVER has hit in five of the Cowboys' last six home games
  • The Giants are 3-10 in their last 13 road games
  • The Cowboys have failed to cover the spread in seven-straight home games
