The Washington Commanders are 10.5 point home favorites vs. the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys in Week 12 action. The total in this one is set at 44.5.
The Cowboys enter this one pretty much at rock bottom on 5-game losing streak after losing an ugly one on Monday Night Football. The Commanders are nursing a two game losing streak and looking to get back on track.
Keep reading to see why I like the Commanders to start early in this spot.

Cowboys vs Commanders Picks Week 12
Commanders 1Q -2.5 (-116)
Washington is a good first quarter team and hasn’t trailed after one quarter since Week 2.
The Cowboys are on short rest after playing on Monday Night Football and the Commanders enter on extra rest after Thursday Night Football and their “mini bye week.” I’m expecting the the Commanders to jump out to an early lead in this one and for Jayden Daniels to have a big day with his legs like Lamar Jackson did vs Dallas earlier this when he ran for 87 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries in Week 3.
The Commanders will have a chip on their shoulder in this one as they enter on a two game losing streak and head coach Dan Quinn will be playing vs. his old team. I’m expecting Quinn to make a statement and tell the Cowboys loud and clear that they should have kept him around and given him a shot at their head coaching job.
Dallas’ redzone defense is dead last in the NFL as it allows opponents to score touchdowns 74.29% of the time. Meanwhile, Washington’s redzone offense ranks 8th in the NFL over their last three games as they’re scoring touchdowns 72.73% of the time.

It's a little too early in the week for a full selection of player props, so check back later in the week for my favorite options for this Cowboys vs. Commanders game.
Cowboys vs. Commanders News
The Eagles announced this week that pass rusher Bryce Huff needs to get a procedure done on his wrist. It's not clear if he'll go on IR and miss a minimum of four games, but you can definitely count him out for this one. Huff has played through the injury the last two weeks with a hand cast. The Eagles will miss his presence as he's registered a solid 66.4 pass rush grade according to PFF on 154 pass rush snaps this year.
