The New York Giants opened up as a 5-point favorite over the Carolina Panthers in a Week 10 contest in Munich, Germany. The Over/Under total in this game set at 41.5. The line ticked up to Giants -5.5 at FanDuel while the total has held firm at 41.5.
We do have some recent history for this matchup but you have to scroll back to the 2022 season when the Giants (-1) squeezed past the Panthers at home, 19-16. The total was listed at 43.5 and went low.
Looking ahead, the Panthers and Giants both get the week off after flying to Germany. Next up for Carolina is a visit from the Chiefs, while the New Yorkers host the Bucs.

Hallo/Hello. Wie geht es dir/How are you? And, Du stehst besser früh auf/You better wake up early. Of course we threw in a little German because this game will be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich. And it's an EARLY start, like 9:30 am ET and 6:30 in Vegas. And sadly, Germany is NOT getting the cream of the NFL crop, but rather the bottom feeders. Yea, not expecting the ratings to go through the roof, but as always, there is money to be made.
Carolina beat the sad sack Saints last week 23-22, but the question is, is it a good win or did they just get lucky to win by a stick? Looking at the stats from the game, my jaw dropped down to the third drawer on my antique 1935 desk. Why? Despite putting a W in the books, the Panthers were outplayed by a MILE. New Orleans had a total of 427 yards compared to Carolina's 246 yards. Saints QB Derek Carr was 18 of 31 for 236 yards with 1 TD and 0 INTs. Alvin Kamara ran through the Panthers D like a chain saw through my foam pillow, gobbling up 155 yards on 29 carries.
Carolina QB Bryce Young was just okay, hitting on 16 of 26 for 171 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Chuba Hubbard was the ground game, picking up just 72 yards on 15 carries. NOTHING about the Panthers attack was impressive.
So the Panthers got a W against one of the worst the NFL has to offer, while the Giants came up only five points short against a team, Washington, that is emerging as one of the best. A team that has won seven of the last eight and is on a 7-0-1 spread run. Lets call that a really good loss.
New York QB Daniel Jones actually had a superb game, completing 20 of 26 (76.9%) for 174 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. And the Giants might have found something at running back with the kid from Purdue, Tyrone Tracy Jr. He managed 66 yards against a nasty Washington D last week, but went NUTZ for 145 yards against a stingy Pittsburgh squad. Danny Dimes had 54 yards rushing and Devin Singletary chipped in with 33.
The NYG total on the ground was 167 yards and you remember back in the second graph that Kamara (155 yards) went off against the Carolina D last week. And you coulda guessed this next sentence. The Panthers are DEAD LAST, No. 32, against the run, giving up an average of 159.3 yards per game.
Which way do we turn? Lemme throw a comparative score at you. Both teams played Washington and we told you about the NYG 27-22 loss in depth. Carolina played the Commanders back in October and got SMOKED, 40-7. Marcus Mariota played most of the game for Washington and put up numbers (18 of 23 for 205 yards, 2 TDs) similar to Jones. But as you probably expected, the Commanders went OFF on the ground, with 214 total yards. Not throwing my kids college fund at this game but will land on the New Yorkers and take 'em on the moneyline.
