Luck and Colts Have Dominated AFC South Competition
Indianapolis has been a pile of hot flaming garbage through five weeks yet has somehow pulled out two wins. The Colts will pull their circus act into Houston on Sunday to take on the 3-2 Texans in prime-time Week 6 football action.
The Colts have been good in very few categories this season but they do have a check mark in arguably the most important one. Andrew Luck has been the only light to break through the darkness that’s been the Colts season so far as he’s thrown for 1469 yards and racked up 10 touchdowns. Going up against a limited Texans pass rush could spell a huge day for the Stanford slinger who has been sacked more than any quarterback this season.
If Luck reads the Houston D like he reads books in his free time, the Texans could be in for a world of hurt Sunday night.
Houston may be above .500 but they could very well be the least impressive winning team in the NFL. Their (ugly) wins so far have come against the Chiefs, the Bears and the Titans. The Texans rank dead last in points scored per game at 16.4 and they’ve given up an average of 29 points per game since losing JJ Watt.
This is a huge matchup in the AFC South standings and Houston has been excellent at home in their last nine games. I expect Houston to put up the most points they have all season on Sunday but I also expect them to get scored on – a lot.
Indy should win by at least a score but these prime-time games have been weird all year.
