After suffering an ugly loss in their season opener last week the New England Patriots will carry a 10-0 SU run against NFC North teams into this Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, who will unexpectedly be playing without star running back Adrian Peterson.

The Vikings, who beat St. Louis handily in their opener, are just 1-7 both SU and ATS in their last eight games against teams from the AFC East and won't have Peterson to carry the offense on Sunday.
The Patriots have not lost three games in a row since a four-game skid in 2002. They have six two-game losing streaks since that time (we are including their playoff loss from 2013 and Week 1 loss in this calculation) and they have ended the streak by covering the spread five times.
We have seen trends on the web this week bragging about New England’s impressive ATS record after a loss (one outlet had it at 28-10 ATS) but they are just 4-4 ATS the past eight times it has happened. They have also won 10 straight against NFC North teams but are just 6-4 ATS in those games. They are also just 1-6-1 ATS in eight games as road favorites.
