Titans Shoot For 6-Game Win Streak At Home vs Saints
The Tennessee Titans (7-2 SU, 7-2 ATS) are coming off one of the most impressive wins of the season as they prepare to host the New Orleans Saints (5-3, 4-4) on Sunday as small home favorites at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. The Titans blew out the Los Angeles Rams 28-16 as 7-point road underdogs in the Week 9 Sunday Night Football matchup to win their fifth game in a row both SU and ATS.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
This is one of the more head-scratching point spreads in Week 10, as oddsmakers seem to believe that what happened last week for both teams was more of a fluke than anything else. Tennessee played its first game without NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry following foot surgery and proceeded to rout Los Angeles on the road in prime time for everyone to see, while New Orleans turned in a disappointing performance in a 27-25 loss to the Atlanta Falcons as a 6.5-point home favorite.
Of course, the Saints played their first game without quarterback Jameis Winston (torn ACL) too, but they appeared to have underestimated the Falcons, while the Rams may have done the same with the Titans. That said, the spread is up only slightly, with Tennessee now -3 and the total still at 44.5.

New Orleans News & Notes
It is easy to assume the loss of Winston was the reason New Orleans came up short against Atlanta. However, backup Trevor Siemian played well enough to lead the Saints to the win, which they thought they’d secured late in the fourth quarter when he threw his second touchdown pass of the game for a 25-24 lead with 1:01 remaining.
Instead, it was the defense that again let the team down, giving up a huge pass play from Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan to wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson that set up the game-winning field goal in the final minute.
Patterson may have been the single most impressive player other than Ryan, reeling in all six of his targets for a game-high 126 yards. New Orleans will need to figure things out quickly, though, to avoid a similar fate in Nashville.
Tennessee News & Notes
Defensively, the Titans played so good vs the Rams that the Saints should be jealous. Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford was viewed as one of the top NFL MVP candidates going into that matchup and threw two interceptions, including a pick-six in the second quarter that helped turn a close game into a blowout – before halftime.
While Tennessee did obviously still miss Henry, the offense did not need to do much except capitalize on good field position and score touchdowns instead of field goals.
The Titans did not get much from their running game, with veteran Adrian Peterson carrying the ball 10 times for 21 yards, although he did manage to score his 125th career touchdown.
How New Orleans Will Cover
New Orleans will not overlook a hot Tennessee team in this spot, as the defense simply needs to play better and rise to the occasion. The Saints have been unreal on the road and as underdogs the past few years, so they just need to have a short memory and play like they did against the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
How Tennessee Will Cover
For the Titans, they cannot afford a letdown spot here. They just beat one of the top teams in the NFC on the road, and now they can lean on their home crowd to give them a lift as well. This is a short number to cover, so a victory should be enough to get the job done.
