First off, the Saints are 17th in defensive EPA per play and 16th offensively over the past four weeks. In other words, they're a middle of the pack team by most metrics, with very little left to play for this season. New Orleans is 30th in opponent yards per game (376.6) and yards per rush (4.9) allowed. They've averaged just 288 yards of total offense over the past three weeks, and have struggled mightily without the injured Derek Carr.
On the other sideline, the Green Bay Packers are rounding into form as a potential playoff sleeper. As usual, Jordan Love has turned it on during Toyotathon. The Packers have won three of their last four games, with the offense leading the charge. They've scored at least 30 points in each contest with Love racking up 872 passing yards and seven touchdowns with no turnovers.
Running back Josh Jacobs is on fire. He's looked unstoppable over the past month while posting 425 total yards and eight touchdowns. He'll thrive against a brutal Saints' front seven.
Additionally, the Packers defense has totaled 40 sacks on the year. Their ability to get after opposing passers will be key as the Saints trot out rookie Spencer Rattler on Monday night. Rattler has completed just 43% of passes under pressure this season, with a 30.5 PFF grade and 14 sacks taken. Expect to see Jeff Hafley and the Packers get after the rookie passer in Week 16.
