Hard-Luck Titans Take Losing Streak to Detroit in Week 2
The Tennessee Titans search for an end to their current five-game straight up losing streak as they visit the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. The Titans' woes continue following a dreadful 3-13 SU campaign in 2015, while the Lions are riding high after topping Indianapolis 39-35 last weekend in their fourth straight SU win.
The Titans blew a 10-0 lead in their Week 1 matchup with Minnesota, as the Vikings returned an interception and a fumble for a pair of second-half touchdowns to steal a 25-16 road victory.
The loss leaves Tennessee winless against the spread in each of their past nine contests, including four straight SU and ATS losses on the road. The good news is Tennessee's four-game SU win streak against the Lions. The Titans are also 3-0 SU in their past three visits to Detroit, dating back to 1992.
The Lions also wasted a double-digit lead in Week 1, but held on for a 39-35 win over the Colts to improve to 7-2 SU and ATS in their past nine. Detroit has now scored at least 32 points in three of their past four, and have seen the point total finish OVER in five of seven.
Detroit has produced mixed results at home, however, going 4-4 SU in their past eight, covering in just three of nine, and are just 2-3 ATS in their past five as home chalk.
