Texans vs Chiefs Player Props: A Big Day For Hopkins And Perine

Texans vs Chiefs player props are out for Saturday's NFL Divisional round playoff game and this article will give you some angles to ponder.

On one sideline you have well rested stars like Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes and on the other side you have Nico Collins and CJ Stroud fresh off their upset of the Los Angles Chargers in the Wild Card Round.

With plenty of star power there's plenty of prop betting options for this game. My prop recommendations feature a bitter wide receiver, a stud cornerback, and a backup running back.

Texans vs Chiefs Prop #1: Trent McDuffie OVER 2.5 Tackles (-170) at Sportsbook

The Chiefs will be welcoming back cornerback Jaylen Watson who hasn't played since October. Watson is one of the more underrated cornerbacks in the league and with him in the lineup, the Chiefs have one of the best tandems at cornerback in the NFL.

Without Watson, Trent McDuffie was the guy quarterbacks didn't want to test. With Watson in the lineup, I expect McDuffie to get some extra looks. Of course the more a cornerback is tested, the more likely they are to notch tackles.

Texans vs Chiefs Prop #2: DeAndre Hopkins Anytime TD (+310) at Sportsbook

Kansas City wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins still has plenty left in the tank. Sure, he's not the same guy he was earlier in his career but I've seen him make some incredibly athletic plays at 32-years old this season.

This is a nice revenge spot for Hopkins who spent the first seven years of his career in Houston before he was unceremoniously traded to Arizona for David Johnson. Hopkins is probably going to say all the right things in the media this week about this game vs. his old team not being a revenge game, but make no mistake, it's personal.

Hopkins caught all four of his targets vs. Houston earlier this season and I expect the Chiefs to have plenty of trips to the redzone in this game.

I think Hopkins is also worth a look at +3400 (FanDuel) to catch two touchdowns.

Texans vs Chiefs Prop #3: Samaje Perine OVER 8.5 receiving yards (-110) at Sportsbook

This one will be a little bit of sweat because Perine doesn't get a lot of playing time with Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt in the mix, but 8.5 yards is a low bar. Perine has gone over this number in 12 of his last 13 games and the one game he missed the mark was by one yard. In eight of those 13 games he went over 20 yards, so finding a nice alt receiving total is a nice play too.

Perine has 12 catches and two touchdowns in seven career playoff games as a backup in Cincinnati so the moment won't be too big for him on Saturday.
