I'm here to break down Bears vs Titans odds & picks for Week 1, with Caleb Williams' Chicago debut catching all the attention.

I'm banking on a big debut from Williams against a suspect Titans defense. Give me the Bears to cover a -4.5 spread at home.

I think Caleb Williams is going to have his way with Tennessee's defense. The Titans allowed the fifth-highest Quarterback Rating against last year, letting up around 230 passing yards per contest. This led to some blowout losses, as the Titans finished 7-9-1 against the spread in 2023-24.

With a whole new passing attack, the Bears are ready to take advantage. Williams can find open receivers all over the field with DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Keenan Allen all ready to catch the ball.

I'm not that daunted by this 4.5-point line, either. For being one of the worst teams in football last year, the Bears were actually pretty good at locking up wins. Of Chicago’s seven wins last season, five came by more than 4.5 points (all five of those came by more than 10 points, too).

I also think playing at home will help the Bears in this one, as they went 4-2-2 against the spread in eight home contests last year.

Cole Kmet UNDER Receiving Yards

The exact lines aren’t out yet, but I’ll come back and readdress this prop when we get some real numbers. But, my early lean is to fade the heck out of Kmet.

For starters, the Titans allowed the sixth-fewest yards to tight ends last year. Plus Kmet is going to be fighting for targets with a loaded pass-catching core, featuring DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and rookie Rome Odunze. Even backup TEs like Gerald Everett and Marcedes Lewis could steal reps from Kmet.

We don’t have much to go off for Williams’ NFL tendencies, but his top tight end last year at USC (Lake McRee) ranked just fifth on the team in receptions and seventh in receiving yards. I’d bet the receivers get the bulk of Williams’ targets in the NFL too.
