OIlers vs Wild Player Props: Draisaitl Scores Tonight

The last Edmonton Oilers vs Minnesota Wild game was a one-sided 7-1 win for the Oilers. Some six Oilers players had multi-point games in that contest and easily hit a few player prop bets on the night. With Minnesota missing Kaprizov and half their defensive core tonight I'm sure we're looking at another potentially one-sided game for the Oilers and a few players hitting their props.

Here are three player props for tonight's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center.

Oilers vs Wild Player Props

Oilers vs Wild Odds - January 14, 8:30 pm ET @ Xcel Energy Center

Prop 1: Leon Draisaitl Anytime Goal (+117)

There hasn't been a hotter goalscorer since December 1st than Leon Draisaitl with 14 goals in 19 games. With no goals in back-to-back games though, Draisailt will be hungry to hit the back of the net, thankfully, for him (and bettors like us), he's scored in each of his last four games against the Wild.

With all of Minnesota's injuries, they've been bleeding chances holding the sixth-highest 5on5 expected goals per 60 at 2.74. With Drai scoring 15 5on5 goals on a measly 7.24 individual expected goals, all he needs is half a chance to score. He'll get more than 'half a chance' tonight in Minni and should score.

Prop 2: Evan Bouchard O2.5 SOG (-129)

Bouchard has put on his shooting gloves recently going well over three shots on goal in three of his last four games with 19 shots, an average of 4.75 per game. "The Butcher" takes those shooting gloves to Minni who ranks fourth in the NHL for shots conceded to defensemen at 9.11 per game.

And look, even if Bouchard has an "average" game he should hit this prop, with 117 shots on the year he's averaging 2.7 shots on goal per game this season. But I'm expecting an above-average game from him with the Oilers likely hemming the severely depleted Minnesota squad into their zone most of the game with the puck continuously flying at the Wild net.

Prop 3: Marco Rossi O1.5 SOG (-170)

Of course, the Wild won't be stuck in their zone the entire game. Minnesota will get a few shots toward Edmonton's net in the 60-minute preceding, and I expect Marco Rossi to be amongst the few Wild players to see enough of the puck to hit his shot prop tonight.

Rossi has two or more shots in five of the six games played in Kaprizov's absence, averaging 2.2 shots per game, and per Outlier, Rossi has also exceeded 1.5 shots on goal in six of his last seven home games.
