In 32 career at-bats against Sandy Alcantara, Pete Alonso has just five hits and a .156 average.
It's not uncommon for batters to struggle against the Marlins ace, as Alcantara owns a career .230 batting average against (.125 so far this season). But, Pete struggles more than most. It’ll be especially hard for Alonso to lock in tonight as he’s got just three hits in four games to start 2025, good for a .231 average. He’s gone UNDER 0.5 hits in half his games, already.
Jorge Polanco OVER 0.5 Hits (-150 at Sportsbook)
Polanco looks like an entirely different guy to kick of 2025. After his worst hitting season since 2020 last year, Polanco started this year with five hits and a homer in his first three games. Tonight, Polanco faces Tigers starter Casey Mize, a guy he has a career .357 average and 1.214 OPS against. Polanco's hot streak will continue.
