MLB Player Props Today: Trust In Reynaldo

The 2025 MLB season is off and running. We're past Opening Day and now looking for Day 2 baseball player props.

I've got a few hitter props I love, including Luis Arraez's walks UNDER. Plus I'm backing Reynaldo Lopez against the Padres lineup.

Ryan Mountcastle OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+140 at Sportsbook)

Ryan Mountcastle has had Kevin Gausman's number lately. The Baltimore batter has six hits in 14 career at-bats against Gausman, good for a .929 OPS.

Mountcastle dominates Blue Jays pitching, in general. In 29 career games at Rogers Centre, the Orioles 1B/DH is hitting .303 with a .962 OPS. He has 26 RBI in the 29 games and had another hit in Toronto yesterday.

Reynaldo Lopez UNDER 1.5 Earned Runs (+115 at Sportsbook)

Reynaldo Lopez enters this start hot, posting a 2.08 ERA in four spring training outings. In his last spring outing, Lopez delivered six shutout innings against the Tigers.

He also has a historical edge against this Padres lineup I want to take advantage of. Active San Diego hitters own a collective .225 average and .507 OPS against Lopez — none have ever hit a homer off him.

Luis Arraez UNDER 0.5 Walks (-310 at Sportsbook)

Luis Arraez hasn’t walked in 11-straight regular season games. Last season, he walked in just 20 of his 150 games played (13.3%). This -310 line suggests a 24.4% chance he’ll walk, so we’re getting lots of line value.

Tonight, Arraez faces the aforementioned Lopez. The Braves starter walked just 2.8 batters per nine innings last year and has never walked Arraez in 26 career at-bats.
