The New York Jets are 2.5-point underdogs vs. the New York Giants in Week 3 of the preseason after beating the Panthers and Commanders in their first two preseason games. The Giants enter their preseason finale looking to get the bad taste out of their mouth from the 28-10 loss vs. the Texans. The Giants are now 1-1 in the preseason. The total in this game is set really low, even for a preseason game, at 31.5.
Media reports from beat writers covering the Jets and Giants this week are giving me confidence to take one New York team on the moneyline. To see which team I’m trusting, keep reading below.

Giants vs. Jets Picks – Preseason Week 3
Neither head coach has announced if their starters will play in this one, but reading the tea leaves, I think the Jets are more likely to allow their superstars on the field. If the Jets end up playing some starters while the Giants rest starters, as I suspect, this point spread will adjust accordingly and I hope to get some good closing line value by kickoff.
In last year’s preseason finale, Jets' coach Robert Sales allowed Aaron Rodgers to throw 8 passes and Garrett Wilson notched three catches. Several other Jets starters took the field and played into the first half, while the Giants chose to rest their starters and give Tyrod Taylor the start. Now, Taylor is wearing green and white and might see action at QB against his former team. While it’s tough to call a preseason game a “revenge spot,” you can bet Taylor will be looking to show the Giants they made a mistake not breaking out the check book for him after last season.
According to countless media reports, the Jets have absolutely dominated the Giants in joint practices this week. Beat writers report that the Jets have been the far superior team and Giants WR Malik Nabors even admitted after practice, “They (the Jets) won the day….we beat ourselves today.”
Jets' coach Robert Saleh is 9-2-1 straight up in his preseason career and takes exhibition games more seriously than the average bear.
