Joe Burrow's Bengals are favored in the Cincinnati vs Tennessee odds

Bengals vs Titans Odds & Picks Week 15: Cincy Should Grill The Titans!

The Cincinnati Bengals opened up at FanDuel as a 3.5-point favorite over the Tennessee Titans in a Week 15 contest. The Over/Under total was set at 48.5. The line has ticked up to -4.5 in a few spots and the Over/Under has slipped to 47.5.

We do have some recent history for this matchup from the season 2023 season. The Titans (-2.5) hosted the Bengals and were not very gracious, because they SMOKED Cincy 27-3. The total was listed at 41.5 and and it was an easy UNDER.

Looking ahead, the Bengals have the Browns coming to town on Thursday night, while the Titans get on a plane for a matchup against the Colts in Indy.

Lucky? Good? Or both? Lucky for sure. The Cowboys were about to get the ball back with the score tied at 20-20 on the first play after the two-minute warning. Then Nick Vigil came flying in and blocked a punt by Cincy's Ryan Rehkow. Recover the ball, go down, kick a field goal and win the game. NOT so fast. Dallas CB Amani Oruwariye tried to field the ball, sadly couldn't hold it, and the Bengals' Maema Njongmeta recovered at Cincy's 43-yard. Three plays later, Joe to Ja'Marr and it's 27-20. Burrow had a night, completing 33 of 44 for 369 yards and 3 TDs.

Actually, Joe has had a five week stretch that looks like the old Burreaux back at LSU. How about a sweet 67% completion rate for 1,713 yards (342 per game) and FIFTEEN TDs. Chase also had a night, grabbing 14, yea FOURTEEN balls for 177 yards with FOUR TDs. Actually, Ja'Marr has had a season and is currently on track to win the receiving triple crown. He has 93 receptions (No. 1), 1,319 yards (No. 1) and 15 TDs (No. 1). No wonder he got that sparkling new grill which can cost as much as $40,000.

Circling back to last season's game, we just looked at the stats, and can report that Joe Burrow was kinda just average, completing 20 of 30 for only 165 yards and did not have a TD or an INT. Joe Mixon ran for 67 yards but he is now wearing a Houston Texans uniform. Tennessee had Ryan Tannehill under center and he was solid (18 of 25 for 240 yards with one TD and one INT), but the key to the game was the BEAST known as Derrick Henry.

King Henry gobbled up 122 yards, and Tannehill also had WR DeAndre Hopkins on the outside. As you know, the King is now in Baltimore while DHop is catching balls from Kaycee's Patrick Mahomes. So, what's left on the shelf for the Titans on offense? Not much. You got Will Levis at QB, and the only thing he has going is, people think he invented blue jeans. He did NOT!

He also did NOT get on any lists of best young QBs, with just 12 TDs and nine INTs so far this season. Tony Pollard in place of King Henry is not ideal and WR Calvin Ridley replacing Hopkins is certainly a few rungs down the ladder.

The only team in the AFC that has scored fewer points than Tennessee (227) is New England (221). But the Titans have the WORST plus/minus number (-115) in the conference. And they only average 14.5 points per game at home. The Bengals will have more than that by halftime. Unfortunately, Cincy is gonna be watching the playoffs at home or on the golf course, but it looks like Burrow and Chase are on a mission. The Bengals are also a MUCH better team on the road (4-3), than at home (1-5). Gimme the Js, Joe and Ja'Marr for the money.
