The Detroit Lions are massive 8.5-point favorites for the Division Round, per Sportsbook. The Washington Commanders have been a fun story all year, but oddsmakers aren't giving them much of a chance against the Lions this week.
The point total for this contest is also insanely high, set at O/U 55.5 points. We didn't see a single weekend game go over 45 points in the Wild-Card Round, so that's a lot of scoring projected.
I've got full picks for the Commanders vs Lions odds below:

Commanders vs Lions Divisional Round Picks
UNDER 55.5 (-110)
I came into this game expecting to bet the OVER. These are the first (Detroit) and fifth (Washington) scoring offenses in football. But folks, this number is just too damn high.
We didn't have a playoff game in the Wild-Card Round go over 45 points, let alone 55. Of the 13 playoff games last year, just three went over 55 points (two of Detroit's three postseason contests last year went U55.5).
If you look at Detroit's play down the stretch, four of their last seven contests went UNDER 55.5. Four of Washington's last five games have gone UNDER this mark, too.
Playoff football is just different. Teams game plan, they play tight defense, and they milk drives to chew clock when winning. For a postseason game to go OVER 55.5 total points, so much has to go right. I'm willing to take all the other scenarios where this one goes UNDER.
Commanders vs Lions Divisional Round Props
Jared Goff UNDER 0.5 Interceptions (-155) at Sportsbook
Jared Goff is about as smart with the football as any QB in the league. He threw 12 interceptions on the year, but five of those game in one crazy game (still a Detroit win) in November. He's thrown picks in just three of his last 14 games and one of the final four games. In nine career playoff games, he's thrown just two interceptions.
This week, Goff faces a Commanders defense that had the fourth-fewest team interceptions in football (seven). Marshon Lattimore was supposed to come in and fix the secondary, but he looked awful in the Wild-Card Round.
Commanders vs Lions Divisional Round News
The big question ahead of this game is what injured players are the Lions going to get back? We saw LB Alex Anzalone and WR Kalif Raymond return from injury in Week 18, and with another week of rest we could see RB David Montgomery join that list. Detroit still has a bunch of lingering defensive injuries, but they'll be a lot healtheir against Washington than they were at the end of the year.
