Cowboys vs Rams Picks - Preseason Week 1
It's well known that Sean McVay and the Rams play few starters in the preseason. So don't expect to see the likes of Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams out there on Sunday. Los Angeles lost all three of their preseason games last year and are now 1-5 both SU and ATS across their past six games in August. The Rams won't play veterans who have a clear role on their squad, so fading them is likely the play here.
On the other side of the coin, the Cowboys will not play Dak Prescott or any other key offensive starters. After defensive end Sam Williams tore his ACL in camp last week, it's unlikely we see any stars from the defense take the field either.
Remember, the Cowboys are trying to get used to new schemes on both sides of the football. While the Rams seemingly could care less about the preseason, and use it to showcase young talent. For those reasons, I like the UNDER 34.5 points. Look for both teams to try and stay healthy and put this one to rest.

Will Ceedee Lamb Play Versus the Rams?
As Ceedee Lamb's training camp holdout rolls along, there's no way he touches the field without a new contract. Lamb and his agents are undoubtedly aiming to make him the highest paid wide receiver in NFL history, and until the ink is dry on that contract the former Oklahoma star won't play this preseason.
