This game opened up as a pick'em or Miami -1 in some spots late Sunday and when news of Tua Tagovailoa's concussion hit the market, the line exploded to Seattle -5. The line has dropped back a tick to -4.5. The Over/Under also took quite a ride, opening at 47.5 and now bet all the way down to 41.5.
So sad to see Tua getting rocked again, which officially was his fourth concussion in five years. If there was a way to look inside his cranium, my guess is that number is more like a dozen. So, Skylar Thompson will probably get the start and that has the fans in Miami biting their nails. Thompson came on in the 3rd quarter and was 8-of-14 for 80 yards with no TDs and no INTs.
Seattle has a chance to start 3-0 for the first time since 2020 and with a date against the Detroit Lions coming up next Monday night, a W would look great on the stat sheet.

So it's Skylar Thompson at QB and if he gets dinged, the Dolphins just signed Tyler Huntley off the Ravens' practice squad as his backup.
First a little Skylar for your handicapping portfolio and the vital stats you must have before opening the wallet. He played in seven games for Miami back in 2022, and was 60-of-105 (57%) for 534 yards with 1 TD and 3 INTs. Sky did not play in 2023. Tyler Huntley had been in Baltimore since 2020 and played his college ball at Utah. Huntley, who goes by the nickname Snoop, played in 20 games for the Ravens, completed 221-of-342 (64%) with 8 TDs and 7 INTs. Good luck with either guy.
First year coach Mike Macdonald comes to Seattle after serving as the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens the last two seasons. You wanna know why we mention that? Of course you do. Well, last season, Double M's defense was the first ever to the lead the league in scoring defense, sacks and takeaways. Quite a HAT TRICK!
Here's an interesting fact. Mike Mac is the youngest head coach in the NFL (37) and has given the keys to the offense to Geno Smith, one of the oldest QBs (33) in the league. Geno the Pizza Man has been around since 2013, the last five years in Seattle. He has been VERY accurate with the Seahawks, completing a touch over 70% of his passes. He also has a nice ratio of TDs (57) to INTs (22) the last five seasons.
If you're thinking that Miami's running game might bail out the second or third string QB, just hold on. De'Von Achane is the lead mail carrier and he had just 24 yards on 10 runs against the Jaguars, then 96 yards on 22 carries against the Bills. Averaging 3.5 yards per just AIN'T gonna get it against the 'Hawks.
What about the air? Well, if you find a trio of receivers better than DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett, call me. Probably why Pizza Geno is hitting over 74% of his strikes this season. And after doing extensive research, we noticed that Seattle has DOMINATED the AFC East, winning nine of the last 10. At 90%, ya gotta ride with the 12th Man and rock the Seahawks.

Dolphins vs Seahawks Prop Pick
With Tua Tagovailoa sidelined with a concussion, we might expect to see a heavy workload for running back De'Von Achane. If this in fact is the game script, 71.5 rushing yards is well with in reach.
As for Metcalf, it's a nice price to get one of the best WR's in the game. As mentioned about Geno Smith has been on fire in the early parts of the season and with a three-headed monster that the Dolphins will have to defend, look for Metcalf to find the endzone.
