The Philadelphia Eagles opened up as a -3.5 point favorite at Sportsbook over the New York Giants in a week 18 contest. The Over/Under total was set at 38.5. The line has come down by the hook to -3 while the total has held tight.
We do have some recent history for this matchup from this season. Philly (-3) rolled up to New York and squashed the Giants 28-3. The Over/Under was listed at 42.5 and was an easy UNDER.
Looking ahead, the Giants get to do what they've done for the last few years (except 2022), hit the golf course. The Eagles are locked in at the No. 2 seed in the playoffs and will see either the Packers or Commanders in the Wild Card round in Philadelphia.

IDIOTS! Yea, we're talking about the New YUCK Giants. They came into last Sunday's game sitting on top of the world, the draft world, with the No. 1 pick in hand. Shedeur Sanders was even wearing NY Giants cleats in the Alamo Bowl against BYU.
Sadly, he threw a stinker in his final college game. So what do the IDIOT Giants do? They fight like crazy and wind up beating the Colts 45-33. WHAT? Yea, pride or some such stupid thing got in the way, and now they have fallen to fourth on the draft chart pending the results in this final week. IDIOTS! So instead of getting Sanders with the No. 1 pick, they might have to look at Cam Ward or Dillon Gabriel.
DELICIOUS! As everyone knows, Saquon Barkley spent the first six years of his career in New York with the Giants before heading down to Philly. Apparently, John Mara and his family, who are worth OVER THREE BILLION BUCKS, would not spring for $37.5 million to resign Barkley and the Eagles swooped in. BONUS for Saquon.
This was his best year yet and is on the verge of historic. Barkley is sitting at 2,005 yards heading into the finale, and needs 101 yards to break Erik Dickerson's all time record of 2,105. The only question is, will coach Nick Sirianni give him the green light, let him break the record, then stand and watch the rest of the game?
We're saying OH YEA! Why? Because the Giants are PATHETIC against the run. They are ranked No. 31 and as most of you know, there are only 32 teams in the NFL. They are allowing an average of 141.6 yards per game, and in the first meeting, Saquon took the ball 17 times and gobbled up an amazing 176 yards. So, check out the Over/Under on rushing yards, and if it's UNDER 100, open that wallet.
So, the question here is, how much does Philly want this game with the knowledge that they're locked in at the No. 2 seed and that will not change?
Let me bring you back to the end of last season in a similar scenario. The Eagles were bound for the playoffs and closing out the season up in New York against the Giants. New York smoked 'em 27-10 and Philly came up with an absolute DUD in the opening round of the playoffs the next week against Tampa Bay. The Eagles were EMBARRASSED by the Bucs 32-9 and we're thinking that Sirianni AIN'T gonna go that route for the second year in a row. Actually, if you go back to the 2022 season, the Eagles beat the Giants in the final game, beat 'em in the first playoff game, beat the 49ers before losing to Kaycee in the Super Bowl.
Go back one more to the 2021 season, and guess what? Philly got CRUSHED in the season finale against the Cowboys, 51-26, turned around the next week and lost the opening round playoff game to Tampa. So, the moral of this story is, PLAY THAT FINALE, win that finale and steam in to the playoffs with Uncle Mo on the sideline. Gimme the Green Birds for the money.
New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles News
Just listening to some local Philly radio and heard Coach Sirianni say this when asked about Barkley playing against the Giants and getting the rushing record. "In 2021, Smitty (DeVonta Smith) was going for the rookie receiver record. We didn't play some other guys in that game, but we went and got him that record. Every situation is a little different. Not saying one way or the other.” Not saying Saquon plays, but we CAN read the tea leaves!
