The Kansas City Chiefs are favored by 12.5 points while hosting the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 NFL action on Black Friday. Oddsmakers set the over/under in this game at 42.5 after these teams combined to score 47 points five weeks ago.
The Kansas City Chiefs barely squeezed by the Panthers last week, but always seem to find a way to win. The Raiders are 1-5 on the road this season and have lost seven straight games.
Keep reading to see why I think the Raiders will put up a good fight in this one.

Raiders vs Chiefs Picks Week 13
Raiders +10.5 Alt (+110)
The Raiders have two main strengths and both of them happen to matchup with weaknesses on the Chiefs. The Raiders defensive line led by Maxx Crosby can do a lot of damage and Crosby will face tackle Wanya Morris who has an uninspiring PFF pass blocking grade of 59.6.
The Raiders other strength is tight end Brock Bowers who had 13 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown two weeks ago. Bowers caught all five of his targets for 58 yards when he faced the Chiefs earlier this year and he should have an even bigger game this week. Nobody allows more yards to tight ends than the Chiefs.
Kansas City has a bad habit of playing down to their opponents and not covering the spread, even when they're a much more talented team. Last week's great escape vs. the Panthers was a prime example and I'm expecting a similar effort from Kansas City.
The Raiders hung tough and only lost by seven points to Kansas City earlier this year and I think this will be a similar battle.
Raiders vs. Chiefs Player Props
Bowers Over 58.5 receiving yards (-110)
Raiders wide receiver Brock Bowers is making a legitimate case that he's the best tight end in the league, but he's under the radar because he plays for the Raiders. In a matchup vs. Travis Kelce, the most well known tight end in the league, expect Bowers to take this game personally like Myles Garrett did when he played vs. TJ Watt and the Steelers. I found this number at Bet365.
The Chiefs allow the most yards to tight ends per game (72.5) according to our NFL Team Defensive Report and I think Bowers makes them pay.
Raiders vs. Chiefs News
Tom Pelissero reported today (Tuesday) that the Raiders are preparing to start Aidan O'Connell vs. the Chiefs on Friday. Starting quarterback Gardner Minshew is out for the year after his Week 12 injury and the Raiders had to choose between O'Connell and Desmond Ridder.
Cornerbacks Nate Hobbs and Jakorian Bennett both missed last weeks game and logged a DNP for Tuesday's practice. They'd be a big boost to the Las Vegas defense if they can go.
