The New York Giants are riding a seven-game losing streak as they host the New Orleans Saints as +4.5 home underdogs in Week 14 action. Oddsmakers are expecting this game to be low scoring with the over/under is set at 40.5.
The Saints are looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Rams last week, while the Giants' 27-20 loss to Dallas on Thanksgiving is still fresh in their minds.
Keep reading to see how I'm approaching this game from a betting perspective. Instead of grabbing the point spread or total, I bet a team total.

Saints vs Giants Picks Week 14
Giants TT U17.5 points (-122)
We still don't know who will start for the Giants at quarterback, but it's hard to imagine either Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito putting up more than 17 points in this game vs. a defense that held the Rams highly explosive offense to 21 points last week.
The Saints have allowed 17.3 PPG the last three weeks vs. teams (Rams, Browns, Falcons) that are much more threatening than New York.
The Giants offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL and it's even worse without Jermaine Eluemunor who missed last week's game. Without Eluemunor, or with him at less than 100%, the Saints should be able to get plenty of penetration and live in the Giants' backfield.
We all know the Giants offense runs through Malik Nabers and he's their best offensive weapon. Well, according to FTNFantasy.com, the Saints are the best team in the league at defending the WR1 position. The Giants will have to find other ways to beat the Saints and they don't have the weapons to do so.
Saints vs Giants Player Props
It's a bit too early in the week for a full compliment of player props. Check back here closer to kickoff to see my player prop suggestions for the Saints vs. Giants game.
Saints vs Giants News
The Swiss army knife known as Taysom Hill is out for the season after suffering a knee injury last week. Hill has been especially effective for the Saints on third down and in the redzone so it'll be interesting to see how they respond without him in the lineup.
The Giants put tight end Theo Johnson and defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence on IR after injuries sustained on Thanksgiving. Johnson isn't a household name, but he had seven games this season with at least three catches. Lawrence will be a massive loss for the Giants whose pass rush will suffer.
As of publishing this (Tuesday night) there is still no news on who the Giants starting QB will be. You'll want to keep an eye on the news to see if it's Tommy DeVito or Drew Lock.
