Titans vs Dolphins Odds & Picks Week 4: Expect points

The Tennessee Titans enter potentially humid conditions against the Miami Dolphins as 1-point underdogs despite uncertainty about the Dolphins QB situation. The total in this game is set at 36.5 as oddsmakers are expecting a low scoring game on Monday Night Football.

Both teams are trying to forget about awful performances last week and grab a Week 4 victory under the lights. Last week, Miami lost 24-3 vs Seattle and lost No. 2 QB Skyler Thompson in the process. The Titans are now 0-3 thanks to a 30-14 loss at the hands of the Packers.

Titans vs Dolphins Picks Week 4

Titans-Dolphins Over 36.5 (-110)

Both of these teams have issues in their secondary and I think that will lead to points in this one. In fact, I think this is also a good game to consider the alt total market too.

The Titans are expected to be without veteran CB Chidobe Awuzie and L’Jarius Sneed has been playing really bad opposite him with a 40.8 overall PFF grade. It’s only three games and Sneed can certainly bounce back, but it's fair to wonder if we might be witnessing an abrupt drop off in play from Sneed like we’ve seen from other once elite CBs like Josh Norman and Nnamdi Asomugha.

The Dolphins will likely be without the services of CBs Kendall Fuller and Storm Duck. Both teams have household names at WR which gives each offense a mismatch vs. poor CBs.

You’re probably concerned about betting an over when one team has Will Levis at QB and the other team is starting a No. 3 QB, but 36.5 is too low and also falls below 37 which is an important number for NFL totals.

Titans vs Dolphins News

We still don’t know who will be the starting QB for the Dolphins in this game. Tyler Huntley and Tim Boyle are the options for Miami after No. 2 QB Skylar Thompson went down last week with what looked like a painful injury. Of course, the Dolphins are also without the services of starting QB Tua Tagovailoa who was put on IR after a scary looking concussion.

Boyle played in relief of Thompson and didn’t look sharp last week, with 79 yards on 7-for-13 passing. Neither QB inspires a lot of confidence but it’s worth noting that Huntley brings a rushing element to his game. Huntley scrambled for 294 yards on 47 attempts in 2021.
