If Geno can't go, the Seahawks will start former Commanders pivot Sam Howell. Howell's arm looked lively in limited action last week, but the man threw 21 interceptions in 2023 for a reason. He's a live by the sword, die by the sword type of quarterback, and generally that archetype gets exploited at the NFL level.
With just a 3.5-point spread, I'm also optimistic that Geno will suit up, and it looks like the sportsbooks expect that to be the case.
Minnesota is a top-10 team in both offensive and defensive EPA across the last four weeks. Most important Sam Darnold is firing on all cylinders. Darnold is having the season of his life, with 3,530 passing yards and 29 touchdowns already. He's tossed for 12 touchdowns and just on interception across his past five games.
On top of that, the largest mismatch in this Vikings vs Seahawks contest is the Minnesota pass-rush against Seattle's ailing offensive line. The Seahawks gave up 22 pressures and seven sacks to Green Bay in Week 15. They'll be in tough against Brian Flores' blitz scheme.
