Jaemyn Brakefield UNDER 3.5 Rebounds (-175) At Sportsbook

Brakefield averaged 4.3 rebounds this season, but his recent form tells a different story, with just 2.2 rebounds per game over his last five outings. His struggles will continue against Michigan State, which ranks 13th in the nation in rebounding defense, allowing only 30.6 total boards per game.

The Spartans have leaned on their strengths in this tournament, holding opponents to 29 rebounds or fewer in each of the first two rounds. Tom Izzo’s squad is fierce at limiting second-chance scoring opportunities, having yet to allow double-digit offensive rebounds in the Big Dance. There’s just no way Brakefield finds success on the glass here.

Jase Richardson OVER 1.5 Assists (-165) at Sportsbook

Over his last 5 games, Richardson has averaged 3.4 assists per game, recording at least 2 assists in every outing. The freshman has been logging significant minutes on the court, playing 30+ minutes in all five of those games—giving him more than enough time to cash our OVER bets. Surely if Tom Izzo trusts him, so can we. As a team, Michigan State averages 16.7 assists per game (ranked 19th), while Ole Miss allows 13.9 assists per game (ranked 238th), making this a perfect matchup for Richardson to rack up assists for us.

Johni Broome UNDER 2.5 Assists (-145) At Sportsbook

While he may well be the best player in college basketball, Johni Broome isn't exactly a playmaker. The Auburn stalwart has failed to surpass 2.5 assists in four straight games, while putting up a grand total of one per contest.

As March Madness enters the nitty-gritty, Broome will need to put more and more of the scoring onus on his own shoulders. Broome's been passive through the first two games of the tournament, with only 22 combined points. He'll need to score at least that number on Friday night to guide his team to victory. Don't expect to see Broome, who's one of the March Madness Outstanding Player odds favorites dish the rock against the Wolverines.

CBB DFS Play of the Day

Braden Smith OVER 3.5 Turnovers -120 At Underdog Fantasy

Purdue point guard Braden Smith struggled against the pressure of McNeese State's defense in the round of 32. The junior guard posted eight turnovers against the Cowboys, and will find space hard to come by versus the Houston Cougars stifling stop-unit.

According to KenPom, Kelvin Sampson's defense ranks 24th in steal percentage and 32nd in non-steal turnovers in the nation. Fade Smith against Houston on Friday night.
