Aaron Rodgers Retirement Odds: Will the 4-Time NFL MVP Call it a Career?

Aaron Rodgers retirement speculation has officially begun!

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport fueled the rumors with a report prior to kickoff in Week 18, stating "several people close to Rodgers" were preparing for the Jets vs Dolphins contest to be the final game of Rodgers career. Rodgers himself channeled Tropic Thunder's Tugg Speedman, as he cheekily responded "people said they're close to me?"

Regardless of whether or not the reports are true, Aaron Rodgers retirement odds have been released. Let's break down the latest news on Rodgers and analyze how you can profit!

The latest odds pit Rodgers retiring at -140 ahead of the 2025-26 NFL season.

While he's now thrown for over 500 touchdown passes, the enigma has very little left to prove on the gridiron. However, he'd presumably love to surpass Brett Favre's 508 career touchdown tosses, just to stick another one to number four for all those cold looks in the hallways in Green Bay

Will Aaron Rodgers Retire?

All that being said, Rodgers is one of the most spectacular players in NFL history. If 2024 is truly the last season of his career, he can walk away with his head held high. Rodgers has dominated throughout his career, racking up 62,952 yards, 503 touchdowns, 10 Pro Bowls and four All-Pro selections in 20 seasons with the Packers and Jets. Oh, and he's won four NFL MVP awards, one Super Bowl and added the Super Bowl XLV MVP. If Sunday was truly his last game, Rodgers will finish his career with a stunning 4.33 touchdown to interception ratio - by far the highest in NFL history. The next closest is Lamar Jackson at 3.39.

As a Rodgers fan I'd be extremely surprised to see him call it quits in this manner. He's been a fierce competitor his entire career. Remember, Rodgers succeeded without any Division 1 offers, battled through JUCO, falling in the draft, and replacing a legend to become one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. The enigma ain't gonna want to go out like this.

Even longtime friend and cohort Davante Adams expressed he would be "surprised" if Rodgers retires this off-season.

How to Bet on Aaron Rodgers Retirement

At even odds, there's plenty of value to be found betting no in the latest Aaron Rodgers retirement odds. After all, his predecessor leaned towards retiring for years, before finally having a teary-eyed press conference and deciding to come back to the game he loves. If there's a team willing to take a flyer on A-Rod, and there should be - based on some of the awful quarterback play we continue to see throughout the NFL- Aaron Rodgers will be in uniform come the 2025-26 NFL season.

Predicting Aaron Rodgers Next Team

The Tom Brady-led recruitment for a quarterback in Las Vegas could lead them to Mr. Rodgers' neighborhood. Mark Davis has long chased a big-name under center, and Rodgers brings a ton of suspense, intrigue, and media coverage. On top of that, he'd bring a level of respectability to a Raiders quarterback room that trotted out the likes of Gardner Minshew, Aidan O'Connell and Desmond Ridder this season. There's a lot to like about Rodgers' fit in the Sin City. Vegas is close to home, there won't be a ton of pressure to win with the roster as currently constructed, and Davis may even sweeten the pie with an ownership stake offer upon retirement.

Although, the best football fit for Rodgers lies in Pittsburgh. Mike Tomlin has long been an Aaron Rodgers admirer, and with his offense faltering down the stretch, the Steelers would be wise to make a move. The Steelers can move on from both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields and bring in the man who defeated them in Super Bowl XLV. Acquiring Rodgers for minimal cost will allow Pittsburgh to invest further in their offensive line, and add a few playmakers to help him go to work.

The Cleveland Browns are an intriguing destination to keep an eye on at +1000 odds. Kevin Stefanski and the Browns can't afford to enter the 2025 season without an answer under center. Myles Garrett wants to win in Cleveland, but it appears their star pass-rushers' patience is wearing thin. Regardless, the Browns are built to win now, with one of the oldest average teams in the NFL and Rodgers gives them a far better chance to do so than a rookie quarterback. With Rodgers in tow, Cleveland could use the number two overall pick on an impact offensive lineman or pass-rusher.

Should Rodgers suit up in 2025, it will be another chapter in the storied career of one of the NFL's most enigmatic and talented quarterbacks. Despite the retirement whispers, Rodgers has shown time and again that he thrives on defying expectations. A return next season would mean another opportunity for Rodgers to chase a second Lombardi Trophy and solidify his legacy. While the off-season will undoubtedly be filled with more drama and speculation, the NFL is far more captivating with Rodgers playing football. Stay tuned as the Aaron Rodgers saga is far from over.
