Eagles vs Saints Picks Week 3

Saints -2.5 (-120)

Everything in my heart tells me this is a let-down spot for the Saints. Coming off two 25-point victories against the Cowboys and Panthers, the Saints now face an Eagles team that'll be hungry to avenge their tragic loss to the Falcons on Monday Night Football.

But........ when I look beyond the vibes and toward the stats, It's hard to bet against New Orleans right now. For starters, the Saints are the best team in net expected points added so far this season (the stat I look to first when handicapping games). They're top-three in both offensive and defensive EPA, while the Eagles rank bottom-10 in net EPA.

As well, I think New Orleans' rushing attack is going to carve through the Eagles' defense. Alvin Kamara has 198 rushing yards (and four rushing TDs) through two games, rocking an elite 5.7 yards per carry. Now, Kamara faces an Eagles team that rocks a league worst 6.4 YPC against this year.

It's hard to see how the Saints don't run all over the Eagles and move to 3-0.
