Lions vs Cardinals Picks Week 3
Cardinals +3
Crucially, the Cardinals have done a phenomenal job of covering the spread at home against the Lions of late, going 9-2 ATS in their last 11 matchups at State Farm Stadium.
Jonathan Gannon's defense has allowed just 91 rushing yards and 207 passing yards per contest. He's got to be pleased with the way his team has performed this season. With Kyler Murray back under center, the Cardinals offense has averaged 34.5 points per game, with a staggering 177 rushing yards. They've also generated a point per every 11 yards gained.
On the Lions side, they've averaged 262 passing yards per game, but have only generated one point per 19.7 yards gained. In other words, Detroit's offense has stalled in the red zone, leading to their 20-16 defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. They rank 27th in the NFL, having scored a touchdown on just over 27% of red zone trips thus far.
I'm betting on Gannon scheming up enough exotic looks to deny the Lions in the red zone once again on Sunday. Take the points with the home underdog Arizona Cardinals at +3.
Lions vs Cardinals Prop Pick
Jameson Williams UNDER Receiving Yards
Lions vs Cardinals player prop odds have yet to be released, but I love the idea of fading Jameson Williams in Week 3.
The former Alabama star has exploded in this third season in the NFL, hauling in 10 catches for 200 yards and a score. Everybody is going to be betting his OVER receiving yardage total, and that's exactly when I like to make the contrarian play. Check back later in the week for all the odds.
