Chiefs Getting Love from Sharps & Casual Bettors

Kansas City's dominance is something to behold. With the AFC Championship win over the Bills, the Chiefs have now reached the Super Bowl in five of the last six seasons. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are an unflappable tandem, hence why the early money poured in on Kansas City at -1.5. Now, that sentiment has changed last weekend and all through this week, with cash coming in on the Eagles.

Our NFL experts recommend backing the Chiefs. Nick Holz is turning to KC's defense prowess as a major source of confidence ahead of the Super Bowl. As Nick points out, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has been instrumental in the team's success, combining creative play-calling with timely defensive adjustments, such as the decisive blitz in the AFC Championship game.

Kansas City’s record-breaking streak of 17 straight one-possession wins underscores their unmatched ability to execute in critical moments. With these factors in play, this matchup promises to be a battle of elite talent and strategy with KC ultimately winning a very close game.

BetMGM cheering for the Eagles

With more action expected on the Chiefs, BetMGM is cheering for the Eagles to win, which would mark a fine outcome.

“As Super Bowl bets continue to pour in, BetMGM still needs the Eagles. We're also cheering for a red/pink Gatorade bath, Saquon to stay out of the endzone, and the defenses to shine for the Under," said Christian Cipollini, Trading Manager at BetMGM.

Public Likes the OVER 48.5 Points

As I just alluded to, the total for Super Bowl 59 opened at 48.5 before quickly moving to 49.5, then back down to 48.5 points. Fans are enamored with the OVER, pushing 54% of the handle in that direction. The Bills-Chiefs shootout went OVER their 49.5 total and Philly's 55-23 spanking of Washington also easily cleared their 47-point total. Clearly, the public thinks both offenses will show out at Super Bowl 59. The total has also gone OVER in 5 of Philadelphia's last 7 games against Kansas City.

That said, the total has gone UNDER in 6 of Kansas City's last 8 games. KC's defense has slowed things to a halt; it remains to be seen if the Chiefs unit can stop Saquon Barkley and the Eagles' epic rushing attack.
