Texans vs Colts Picks Week 1

Colts +2.5

Listen, Stroud is a phenomenal talent who will inevitably do great things in the NFL. However, after their success last season, the Texans now face a first-place schedule. Some regression to the mean is more likely than not.

On top of that, divisional home underdogs are 18-9-2 SU and 23-6 ATS in Week 1 over the last 15 seasons. That's a cover rate of over 79%!

Shane Steichen and the Colts have barely scratched the surface of what is possible in their offense. With a healthy Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor all the way bought in this off-season, as well as the addition of Adonai Mitchell, the Colts will surprise a lot of teams early.

I'm betting on Indianapolis to hold down the fort in Week 1.

Texans vs Colts Prop Pick

Anthony Richardson OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns +148

I'm all over Anthony Richardson to toss for at least two touchdowns this Sunday.

The Colts RPO game should have Texans defenders guessing and with linebacker Christian Harris out I like Richardson to find the holes in the middle of the field. With defenders keyed on stopping the run, the former Florida star will have the time to pick out open receivers in the end zone.
