CBB Player Props Today: Don't Trust Oklahoma State's Defense

While we wait for the Sweet 16 to tip off, there's still daily not-in-tournament college basketball games to bet on. My CBB player props today dive into a North Texas vs Oklahoma State matchup, where I'm betting on Abou Ousmane and Brenen Lorient.

Abou Ousmane OVER 4.5 Rebounds -144 at Sportsbook

North Texas used to be one of the top defenses on the glass, allowing the fourth-fewest 29.1 total rebounds per game in the regular season. But, the Mean Green allowed 38 rebounds to Arkansas State on Sunday and 34.3 rebound average across their last three. 

Since being knocked out early in the Big 12 Championship, Ousmane has been consistent on the boards by recording five rebounds in back-to-back performances. The senior has eclipsed this line in 10 of his last 13 matchups. 

Brenen Lorient OVER 9.5 Points -115 Sportsbook

Despite my lack of faith in North Texas' defense tonight, I'll still back Lorient to get a bit of traction on the scoresheet. Giving up 76.8 PPG, the Cowboys defense is nothing to brag about. SMU was able to hang 83 points on 'em Sunday afternoon after draining over 57% from beyond the arc.

Lorient hasn't had much luck around the net following the conference tournament, earning 15 points across two meetings. But, Oklahoma State's scoring defense (ranked 289th) is notably worse than the pair of programs that the junior has recently faced, with Furman 131st and Arkansas State sitting 108th in the scoring defense rankings.
