2024 Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl & AFC Odds

Super Bowl OddsAFC Championship OddsAFC West Odds
+600+350-230

Odds as of August 13

Kansas City is the Super Bowl favorite at +600 odds, and I can't say I hate that wager.

Betting against the dynastic Chiefs and the otherworldly skills of Patrick Mahomes is not for the faint of heart.

At +350 odds to win the AFC Championship and a juiced -230 to win the AFC West division, I'll pass for now. But, I can't blame you if you stick to your guns and bet on the Kansas City to win the AFC for the fourth time in five years. After all, Mahomes and the Chiefs have made six consecutive appearances in the AFC Championship since he became the starting quarterback. Kansas City to win the AFC isn't a terrible wager at it's current +350 price. However, early season matchups with contenders like the Ravens, Bengals and 49ers could push the odds down.

Play the waiting game here and hop on the Chiefs to win the AFC at better odds if they happen to stumble early.

Andy Reid's merry band enter the 2024 NFL season with the highest win total in the league. Looking at last year's finish, the UNDER seems to be worth monitoring on Chiefs contests moving forward. However, I'd advise caution when handicapping Kansas City games against the spread. The books lost a ton to the public in 2023, as the favored Chiefs went 13-7-1 ATS. Don't expect that to happen again, and look for early season lines to be especially juiced in Kansas City's favor.

Even for a loaded Chiefs squad 12 wins is a ton in the modern NFL. The football season is a long and ardous road, and few teams stay healthy enough to win 12 contests in a season. On top of that, the Chiefs could very well have their playoff spot, and prime seeding sewn up by Week 18, making their final game of the season irrelevant. It would suck to lose a win total bet with the starters are sitting. I lean towards the OVER 11.5 wins, but proceed with caution on the 2024 Chiefs' win total market.

2024 Kansas City Chiefs Playoff Odds

Odds as of August 13

The Chiefs playoff odds are so juiced there's no point in placing a wager here. I can't recommend betting against their three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback to go on an absolute tear in 2024. Kansas City has made the playoffs in nine straight seasons, and every year of the Patrick Mahomes era.

Hold off on the Chiefs playoff betting market for the foreseeable future.

2024 Kansas City Chiefs NFL MVP Odds

PlayerOdds
Patrick Mahomes+500
Travis Kelce+30000

Odds as of August 13

Travis Kelce is a monumental +30000 underdog to win the NFL MVP this season. Before you get all starry-eyed with those odds, remember that no tight end has ever won the award. Stranger things have happened, but Taylor Swift's boyfriend is a huge longshot for a reason. Don't blame me for this love story, but that tight end blank space on the NFL MVP award's not going to change this year.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming, Mahomes is favored to win NFL MVP for a third time this season. After taking home the award in 2018 and 2022, he aims to enter the rarified air of all-time NFL greats who have won MVP three times. The short list includes Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning. A third MVP would cement the fact that Mahomes is one of the greatest of all-time. As the +500 favorite, I don't love the value, but due to his propensity for greatness, sprinkling a half unit on Mahomes to win NFL MVP is the play.
