Mike Tomlin's done it again folks. After opening with the lowest odds to win the AFC North, the Pittsburgh Steelers are now the favorite at -175 according to BetMGM.
Pittsburgh exploded for 44 points against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. All of a sudden, these Steelers have the offense necessary to take them deep into the playoffs. Russell Wilson is officially cooking, and the Steelers are genuine Super Bowl contenders.
Destroying Preseason Expectations
Mike Tomlin has yet to have a losing season in his 18-year tenure at the helm of the Steelers. Moreover, Pittsburgh has won seven straight games as underdogs, just one win short of the longest streak in the Super Bowl era. Even more impressively, Tomlin is now 26-9-2 against the spread as an underdog against divisional opponents. Plus, he's an unreal 64-35-4 ATS as an underdog overall, the most profitable coach as a dog over the last 20 years.

Pittsburgh has surpassed their preseason 8.5 win total already- if you hadn't noticed I was practically begging you to make this bet prior to the season, and are a surefire bet to make the postseason.
The Steelers are 9-3 both SU and ATS this season. Simply put, there are few better bets than Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Super Bowl Goals
TJ Watt and the defense's dominance allow the Steelers to hang around in every contest. In fact, their 90.8 PFF pass-rush grade leads the league. Additionally, Pittsburgh might have the best special teams unit in the NFL. Danny Smith's unit has blocked four kicks and returned another for a touchdown, and Chris Boswell has converted on 33 of 36 field goal attempts. However, it's the offensive resurgence that coincides with Wilson stepping in under center will have the Terrible Towels waving into February.

Despite his prior Super Bowl-winning experience, Russell Wilson has had a few down years. Wilson's revival has been one of the best stories of the 2024 season. Mr. Unlimited has now tossed for 1,626 yards with 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions in six games since taking over for Justin Fields. Most importantly, he's 5-1 both SU and ATS. His deep ball touch, accuracy, and ability to keep his unit ahead of the chains has transformed the outlook of Pittsburgh's season.
How to Bet on the Steelers
In addition to their divisional odds flip, the Steelers Super Bowl odds have dropped from +3000 to +2200 after their win against Cincinnati. This comes after Pittsburgh's odds to win it all opened all the way back at +6600.
That being said, a run of top-tier opponents in the coming weeks could see those odds fall. After hosting the Browns in Week 14, the Steelers travel to Philadelphia and Baltimore, before welcoming Kansas City and Cincinnati to wrap up the season. I like the idea of backing Tomlin's squad as underdogs against the Eagles and Chiefs, before jumping on Pittsburgh to win the Super Bowl just before their Week 18 contest against Cincinnati. I'm willing to bet Pittsburgh wins at least three more games. Should they stay healthy, the Steelers' ferocious defense, and suddenly explosive offense make them the greatest value bet on the Super Bowl odds board.
